TIPS FROM WESTLAW: New Content Added To ResultsPlus

"The next time you are searching cases using the Judge or Attorney fields, look over to the right side of the screen at the ResultsPlus display. You will now see links to Litigation History Reports for that judge or attorney.

Litigation History Reports collect case and docket data on attorneys and judges and display it in easy to use tables. The Reports are generated from our cases and dockets collections. The coverage dates back to 1990 for cases, and includes unreported decisions, and back to 2000 for state dockets and 1990 for federal dockets.

Once you generate a report you can then sort the data by caseload, case type, clients/parties, industries, roles, and courts. If you run a report on an attorney, you will also be able to sort by the state and federal judges the attorney has appeared before. If you run a report on a judge, you will be able to see the law firms and government agencies and attorneys that have appeared the most before that judge."
